Festival Weekend in Durham

by Jay on September 16, 2008

There is so much that has happened in the last few years that is driving the revival of Durham’s image that it is sometimes easy to forget that there are some things that have been around for a good while that have kept the momentum going even when things slowed down. Two of these annual events are the Arts Council’s Centerfest and the Bull Durham Blues Festival. This year they are both occurring this weekend. Find out more about Centerfest and the Bull Durham Blues Festival by clicking the links.

Actually, I scan the two newspapers I get every day so quickly that I probably would have missed this if I hadn’t started getting the Durham Weekly Event Calendar by email from the Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau. I know if you look at the last 10 blog posts here at least three of them mention the DCVB and it’s activities. I don’t feel at all guilty for stealing material from them though because we do share the mutual goal of convincing the world that Durham is a great place to visit and then buy a home. If readers want to get the event calendar click here for the registration page. It is really well done.
